In case the event description contains a link it will be clickable should it be configured to be displayed on the event block and/or information dialog.

Custom event editing

The custom events created via Company Calendar Planner for Jira can be either edited, deleted or copied. In order to do that, a user has to click the given event. Then, click either the Edit, Copy or Delete button.

The custom event editing can be performed in different ways via:

  • Edit button on the information dialog

  • double click the event

  • drag-and-drop the event from one date (time) to another date (time)

  • resizing the event (a user can drag either side of the event block in order to resize it)

  • Quick editing (in regards to custom events, only the event users can be edited via the Quick editing)

To edit the custom event, click the event first. Then, click the Edit button on information dialog. As a result, the Edit Event dialog will be shown.

To follow up the example above, let’s say, a software engineer has to join the two team members as well in their trip to Chicago, USA.

This time, the event users will be edited via the Quick editing. In fact, the Quick editing is very simple. All you have to do is to click the event user’s avatar, assuming it is displayed on the event block. Then, add the required user to the event.

Deleting custom events

To delete the created custom event click the event to open the information dialog. Then, click the Delete button, and provide the confirmation for the event deletion by clicking Yes.

Copying custom events

There could be a time when you require to copy the custom event you’ve created earlier.

Tip

Introduced in the app version 7.0, you can copy custom events in a single move by holding the Shift key and drag-and-dropping an event onto a different date.

You can also copy an existing event using the Create event button located on the information dialog.

Once the Create Event button on the information dialog is clicked, the Create Event dialog is open. Provide the necessary information if needed. Then, click Save.
