Timeline visualizes Jira projects / issues as Gantt chart elements. Initially, timeline shows projects (summary tasks), tasks including progress line, and task dependencies (links). It allows to manage the tasks and their dependencies. For more details, see Working with tasks.

User can enable following elements on timeline:
baseline (orange). For more details, see Working with baselines .
critical path (red)
today and release markers (vertical lines)
task assignee to the left of a task bar
task summary to the right of a task bar
Time scale at the top of the timeline changes according to the selected scale.
