  • Remaining work distribution, starting from today, until the end of the task
This new option allows to project the task’s end date based on the amount of remaining work, beginning from the current date. At the same time, the time already spent for the tasks is divided evenly throughout the task duration preceding the current day. The app suggests to resolve the conflict when the calculated end of the task does not coincide with the actual task’s end date. As a result, the tasks duration can be either extended or reduced.

Note

Please note that today’s worklog falls into worklog distribution, starting today, as the time spent and remaining are calculated at 12:00 am.

For instance,

Both tasks DEMO-49 and DEMO-50 have 3 days of work.

User Volodomyr reported 2d of work today for the task DEMO-50. As a result, the task work (time spent + remaining) is distributed, starting today, till the end of the task. The next day, at 12:00 am calculation will take place, and 1d remaining will be distributed for the remaining of the task duration as it can be seen by looking into worklog timing for the task DEMO-49 where user Mariia reported 3d of work for the task DEMO-49, yesterday. As a result, zero remaining is shown for the remaining duration of the task.

This option represents the customary app behavior of evenly distributing the total work for the task (the sum of spent and remaining time) throughout the task duration stipulated by the user.
