Jira Dates Event Creation
You can create calendar events that are based on Jira fields.
The event creation for Jira dates sources differs depending on the source configuration.
Once you’ve created and configured at least one Jira dates source that is based on date (time) picker(s), you are ready to create a Jira dates event.
When creating a Jira dates event, a user can either select an existing Jira issue or leave the Issue field empty and let a new Jira issue be created via the app.
Introduced in the app version 5.5.x, the Create Event dialog provides an ability to create or edit a Jira issue via the Jira interface.
Quick issue Creation
Starting with version 8.3 of the app, users can enable Quick Issue Creation for a given Jira Dates source, provided the source is configured with either a single date field or a date range.
Quick Issue Creation enables users to add Jira Dates events directly through the native Jira issue dialog, streamlining the process for a faster and more intuitive experience.
To enable Quick Issue Creation for a specific Jira Dates source, select the corresponding checkbox in the calendar configuration under the Event Sources tab.

When Quick Issue Creation is enabled for a Jira Dates source, an indicator will appear in the Left Panel.

When Quick Issue Creation is enabled for a Jira Dates source, clicking on the calendar will open the native Jira issue dialog. To use the app's event creation dialog without disabling the Jira Dates source, click the 'Create Event' (plus) button above the calendar.
Creating New Jira Issue with the Type Sub-task
Starting the app version 6.1, Jira issues with a type of Sub-task can also be created via the app.

To avoid errors when creating a new sub-task via the app dialog, make sure the Parent field is included in the Jira Dates source configuration.:

Error Indicator in the Sources Panel
Starting with version 8.3 of the app, in case a Jira dates source fails to load due to configuration or access issues, the source is marked with the corresponding indicator on the Left Panel.

A Jira Dates source with a configuration error will not appear in the source selection for event creation or in the source selection within the Planning panel.
