To ensure all new users start with consistent and predictable date and time behavior that matches the organization’s preferences or Jira Time Tracking configuration.

All users see standardized formats and display settings
Long and all-day events appear in the layout preferred by the organization
Users can override defaults in User settings
Key settings
Setting | Description |

All-Day Event Hours | Default number of hours for all-day events. May be taken from Jira Time Tracking. |
