Company Calendar for Jira v 9.2.x: Calendar Management
The Calendar Management section allows Jira administrators to view, search, edit, and maintain all calendars created by users across the organization. This helps ensure correct permissions, proper ownership, and ongoing calendar availability, especially when users move to other teams or become inactive.

Overview
What administrators can do
Administrators can search for calendars, review calendars created by any user, update permissions and ownership, and delete calendars that are no longer needed.
Searching for calendars
Administrators can locate calendars using several search options.
Search options
Search method | Description |
|---|---|
Search by name or description | Use the search box to find calendars by full or partial name or description. The search is not case-sensitive. |
Search by owner | Select a user to view all calendars created by that user. |
Find calendars of inactive or former users | Use the available filters to quickly locate calendars that belong to users who are no longer active in Jira. |
Searching by owner is helpful when reorganizing calendars during team changes.
Editing calendars
Administrators can select Edit to update a calendar’s properties.
Editable settings
Setting | Description |
|---|---|
Owner | Reassign the calendar to another user if the original owner is inactive or responsibilities have changed. |
Permissions | Adjust who can view or modify the calendar. |
Why this matters
Keeping ownership and permissions up to date ensures that calendars remain accessible and managed by the right people.
Deleting calendars
If a calendar is no longer required, administrators can remove it by selecting Delete.
Before deleting
Make sure the calendar is not actively used by a team. Deletion cannot be undone.
Deleting unused calendars helps keep the workspace organized and reduces confusion for users.
