Date and time formats

Date and Time Formats settings control how dates, times, and event durations are displayed throughout Calendar.

These settings allow users to adapt the application to their regional preferences and scheduling requirements. This is especially useful for distributed teams where users may work in different time zones, use different date formats, or follow different work schedules.

 Available Settings

The Date and Time Formats tab may include settings such as:

  • Date format

  • Time format

  • Week start day

  • All-Day Event Hours

  • Long Events Display in Time View

All-Day Event Hours

The all-day event hours can be set manual or taken from Jira global settings.

Note that when the checkbox Take from Jira Time Tracking is checked "All-Day Event Hours" is taken from Jira Time Tracking, "Working hours per day" field.

Once the checkbox Take from Jira Time Tracking is unchecked, a user can set the number manually.

Important

If Default Event Minutes equals All-Day Event Hours, an event created with the default duration may automatically appear in the All-Day area of the Time Grid view, provided that Long Events Display in Time View is configured to use the All-Day area
