Gantt chart management
Learn how to create, find, and manage Gantt charts in Gantt Suite for Jira.
The Gantt Suite Home page is the central place for managing your charts. From here, you can create new charts, search and filter existing ones, copy charts, transfer ownership, and delete or restore charts.
Gantt Suite Home
The Home page displays all Gantt charts that you own or that have been shared with you.
From here, you can:
Create new charts
Open existing charts
Search and filter charts
Copy charts
Change chart ownership
Delete or restore charts
Copy direct links to charts
Create a Gantt Chart
To create a new chart:
Open the Gantt Suite Home page.
Click Create Chart.
Configure the chart settings.
Click Create.
After creation, the Chart Configuration page opens, where you can continue configuring your chart. Read more Chart configuration.
Find and Filter Charts
Use the filters on the Home page to quickly locate charts.
You can filter by:
Chart status
Chart name
Chart owner
Gantt Chart Direct Link
You can copy a direct link to any chart that you have permission to access.
Sharing a direct link allows other users with the appropriate chart permissions to open the chart immediately.
Copy a Gantt Chart
If you have the global Chart Creation permission, you can create a copy of an existing chart.
The copied chart includes:
Chart configuration
Calendars
Resource settings
Team assignments
Team associations
Conditional colors
The following setting is not copied:
Enabled Impersonated View on the Security tab
After copying, the new chart can be modified independently of the original.
Delete and Restore Charts
Charts can be deleted either:
from the Home page, or
from Chart Configuration
Soft Delete
Deleted charts are retained for 7 days before being permanently removed.
When a chart is deleted:
its status changes to Deleted
it can be restored during the retention period
To restore a chart:
Open the Home page.
Locate the chart with Deleted status.
Change its status to any other active status.
Permanent Deletion
To permanently remove a chart, delete it again while it is in the Deleted status.
Warning: Permanent deletion cannot be undone.
Change Chart Ownership
Chart ownership can be transferred to another user.
This is useful when the current chart owner changes roles or leaves the organization.
The new owner receives full management permissions for the chart.

Things to Review After Ownership Changes
Changing the chart owner may affect existing configuration.
Review the following after transferring ownership:
Chart Shares
Some existing shares may no longer work because they were created by the previous owner.
Review and recreate chart shares if necessary.
Impersonated View
If the chart uses Impersonated View, review the configuration after ownership changes to ensure it continues to work as expected.
