Plans Support in Cloud
If advanced planning features are available to you as part of a Jira Cloud Premium subscription, you can create plans supported by Gantt Suite.
For example, you may have configured the following work type hierarchy in Jira:

You then created a plan based on this configured hierarchy, where the Start date and Due date fields are used to visualize work on the timeline for the space.

The plan can be replicated in Gantt Suite for Jira by configuring a chart based on the same space and using the fields applied to visualize work on the timeline.

Please pay special attention to the Hierarchy link type in your chart configuration. Using this option may create a dependency (“is parent of” / “is child of”) between work items that is not related to the advanced work type hierarchy.
To achieve the same behavior as in Plans, make sure to set the Hierarchy link type to None in the chart configuration.

If you need to edit a plan in Gantt Suite, you can create new work items, including child items, using inline work item creation. You can also drag and drop work items according to the configured hierarchy levels or use inline editing of the Parent field in the chart table.

Known Limitations
Child work item creation does not auto-select the correct work type based on hierarchy.
When creating a new child work item via inline creation, the work type is not automatically pre-populated based on the selected parent and the configured work type hierarchy. Instead, the last used work type is applied and may need to be adjusted to comply with the hierarchy.

Parent field suggestions may include out-of-scope work items.
Out-of-scope work items may appear in suggestions when editing the Parent field inline in the chart table. To get accurate results, start typing the work item key.

Chart order is not updated automatically after setting the Parent field.
Once the Parent field is set for a work item, its position in the chart is not updated automatically. To reflect the change, the chart must be refreshed manually.

Task order may differ from Plans and may need to be adjusted in the Gantt chart.
