Multiselect and Bulk Actions
The Multiselect functionality allows users to select multiple Jira work items in the chart table and perform bulk actions on them.
Multiselect applies only to Jira work items.
Internal tasks, spaces, and Gantt totals are not included.
Multiselect Column
Bulk selection is enabled through a dedicated Multiselect column with checkboxes.
To display the Multiselect column, you can:
Enable Multiselect from the Show menu in the toolbar
Add the Multiselect column via table customization

Don’t see Multiselect in the Show menu in the toolbar? This may be because:
You are a chart viewer (no chart editing rights)
You do not have the global permission to perform bulk changes
Each row includes a checkbox, except for Gantt totals, spaces, and internal tasks.
The column header contains a master checkbox, which allows selecting all visible Jira work items.
Bulk Action Panel
Once at least one Jira work item is selected, the Bulk Action panel appears.
|
|---|
The panel includes the following options:
Selected count
Displays the number of currently selected work itemsSelect all
Selects all visible Jira work itemsEdit fields
Opens a menu with editable fields:Resource
Parent (Cloud version only)
Fix Versions
Start Date
Status
Clear all (X)
Exits bulk selection mode, clears the selection, and closes the panel.
If the current user does not have the global Make bulk changes permission, the Bulk Action panel will display the message: “You do not have the global Make bulk changes permission.”
Hint: With a work item selected in the chart table, press Space to initiate bulk selection and select multiple items even without the Multiselect column.
|
|---|
Once bulk actions are completed, the Bulk Action status is displayed, providing the following information:
Status
Number of processed work items
Number of failed actions (if any)
If you need to stop a bulk action in progress, you can do so by clicking Stop in the Bulk Action status dialog.
