Gantt Suite for Jira v 11.0.x: Gantt chart sharing with the public

To share the Gantt chart with the public click the Export button. Then, Share with the public.

Chart Sharing Options:

When creating a chart share, users can select the view on which the shared chart should be based:

  • Default: Choose this option if you prefer chart viewers to see the shared chart according to the default view, without reflecting any changes currently applied to table customization, filters, etc.

  • Live: Choose this option if you want chart viewers to see the up-to-date chart view, including any current changes being applied to the chart table, task filtering, and more.

  • Custom view: Select any existing custom view for the shared chart.

Note: The Default option will be auto-populated, followed by the Live option and any custom views, if available.

In case a chart share is based on a custom view, it will include the customization saved into the view such as Table column selection, filters, etc.

Regardless of which chart view is configured for the chart share, the display of Resources, Markers, and Baselines can be configured independently based on your needs and preferences. Simply check the corresponding checkbox to include the item in the shared chart.

At any time, the chart share can be edited or deleted if required.

 

The Gantt chart you’ve created can be shared with the public in the next ways:

 

Task filtering in shared chart

Shared chart viewers can now filter tasks by a specific field.

For a field to be available for a filter configuration in shared chart the field:

  • must be added to the Table of shared chart

  • must not be hidden by share configuration if applicable Chart shares

For instance, a chart viewer will be able to create a filter based on Gantt field Resource only in case the Resource column is present in Table of shared chart and the resources are included into chart share.

The values available for filter configuration in a shared chart will be limited to those that are shared.

For example, if a shared chart only includes tasks assigned to John and Rebecca, a chart viewer will not be able to create a filter such as Resource = Daniel.

Creating a JQL filter in a shared chart is not available. However, if a chart is shared based on a view that includes an enabled JQL filter, the shared chart will display accordingly.
