Custom events sources
Custom Events sources allow you to display and manage events that are not based on Jira issues, sprints, versions, or worklogs.
Custom sources can be based on either default event types or custom-defined event types created by an administrator.

Available Event types
The following event types are available by default:
Business Trips
Meetings
Sick Days
Vacations and Leaves
Planning
Add Custom source
Open Calendar Configuration.
Navigate to Sources.
Select Custom and press Add Event Source.
Enter a source name.
Populate required fields
Save the configuration.

When a Custom Events source is added, the source name is automatically populated with the selected event type name.

Filter which issues appear
You can configure Project availability for custom events:
All Projects – Users can link events to issues from any Jira project.
Specific Project – Users can link events only to issues from the selected project.
No Project – Events are not linked to Jira projects or Jira issues.
This setting controls which Jira issues can be associated with events created from this source.

Configure event display
Under Issue Fields, select which Jira fields are displayed on events and in the event details dialog.

You can add, remove, and reorder fields to customize how event information is presented throughout the calendar.

Advanced Features
The Advanced tab provides additional options for customizing the behavior and appearance of events created from a Custom Events source.
Conditional colors - Automatically apply different colors based on issue field values or conditions.
Email notifications - Receive notifications about Jira-based calendar events when email notifications are enabled globally by an administrator.
Default summary - Define the default title format for newly created issues.
Concurrence rules - Control how overlapping events are displayed and managed.
Start time display - Enable Display start time to show the event start time directly on event blocks in Calendar view.

Conditional colors
Conditional colors allow you to automatically apply different colors to events based on configured conditions.
In addition, when it comes to custom events, you’ll be able to create the conditional colors that are based on custom fields such as Event Project, Event Description, Event User(s), Event Reporter, and Event Summary fields.

Email notifications
Email notifications can be enabled for events created from this source when email notifications are globally enabled in the application configuration.
When enabled, users receive notifications related to event creation and updates.
Default summary
The Default Summary option controls the default event title used when creating new events.
Available options:
None – no default summary is applied.
Source Name – use the source name as the event summary.
Issue Summary – use the linked issue summary as the event summary.
Concurrence rules
Concurrence rules determine whether events created from this source are allowed to overlap.
Available options:
Allow concurrent events – multiple events can overlap.
Don't allow concurrent events – overlapping events are not allowed.
Don't allow concurrent events on event's user level – overlapping events are allowed only when assigned to different users.
Block concurrent events on the same issue – users cannot create overlapping events that are associated
Note: Concurrence rules do not apply to recurrent events.
