Export tab

Calendar exports allow you to share calendar data outside the application. Calendars can be exported to mobile devices, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or shared publicly using an embedded calendar.

Export Types

The following export options are available:

  • iCalendar (iCal) – subscribe to calendar events from external applications such as Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.

  • URL Export – share a read-only calendar view through a web browser.

  • HTML Export – display a calendar on websites, portals, or other applications using an embedded view.

Export Permissions

To protect company data, administrators can disable calendar exports globally.

Display Users Option

When the Display Users option is enabled, user information is included in exported calendar data.

Important: User email addresses are visible in iCalendar feeds regardless of Jira email visibility settings.

Export Ownership and Permissions

Calendar exports use the permissions and visibility settings of the user who created the export.

Anyone accessing the exported calendar will see only the data available through the permissions of the export creator.

On a calendar that is exported either via HTML or URL, all events are displayed in a time zone of the user who created the calendar export. In contrast, the events exported via the iCal URL are displayed in a time zone of the calendar owner.
