Worklog source
Worklogs sources allow you to display and manage Jira worklogs directly on the calendar.
A Worklogs source determines:
Which worklogs appear on the calendar
Which users are included
What information is displayed on events
How worklog events are colored and presented
What you can do with Worklogs source
Display Jira worklogs as calendar events
Filter worklogs by project, Jira filter, or JQL
Display worklogs for selected users, groups, or all users
Configure event appearance and displayed fields
Set default worklog descriptions
Include inactive users
Apply conditional colors based on worklog or Jira fields
Add Worklogs Source
Open Calendar Configuration.
Navigate to Event Sources.
Select Worklog and press Add Event Source
Enter a source name.
Save the configuration.
Manage Event Sources
Filter which worklogs appear
A Worklogs source can be configured using:
Project – display worklogs from specific Jira projects.
Jira filter – use a saved Jira filter.
JQL – apply additional filtering using Jira Query Language.
These options help limit calendar events to only the worklogs relevant to your team.
You can also define which users are included in the source:
Current user
Selected users and groups
All users
This allows you to create calendars focused on individual users, teams, or the entire organization.

Advanced Features
Worklog sources provide additional options to customize event behavior.
Conditional colors - Automatically apply different colors based on issue field values or conditions.
Default summary - Define the default title format for newly created issues.
Quick issue creation - Create new Jira issues directly from the calendar without leaving the current
Start time display - Enable Display start time to show the event start time directly on event blocks in Calendar view.
Default worklog description
To simplify worklog creation, you can configure a default description for new worklogs:
As Source Name
As Issue summary
This can help reduce manual input when creating multiple worklogs.
Note: If a worklog is created from a planning event, the default description configured for the source is ignored. In this case, the planning event summary and description are used instead.
Conditional colors
Worklogs sources support conditional colors, allowing you to automatically change event colors based on specific worklog or issue attributes.
In addition to standard Jira fields, worklog sources support the following worklog-specific fields as Worklog Time, Worklog Description, Worklog User, Worklog User Email, Worklog Start and Worklog End fields.
All worklog events matching the condition will be displayed using the configured colors.
For detailed information about configuring conditional color rules, see Conditional colors page

Quick issue creation
Quick Issue Creation allows users to create a new Jira issue directly from the calendar when logging time or planning work.
Instead of switching to Jira to create an issue first, users can create the issue from within the calendar and immediately continue working with it.
When enabled, administrators define:
Project – the Jira project where new issues will be created.
Issue Type – the default issue type available for quick creation.
This feature streamlines the work logging and planning process by allowing users to create missing Jira issues without leaving the calendar.
