Edit and Delete Worklog Events

After a worklog has been created, you can update or remove it directly from Calendar. Depending on your permissions, you can edit worklog details, change the associated Jira issue or reporter, use Quick Edit for common fields, or delete the worklog.

All supported changes are synchronized with Jira automatically.


Edit a Worklog

To edit an existing worklog:

  1. Click the worklog event and select Edit from the Event Information dialog.

    or

  2. Double-click the worklog event.

The Edit Event dialog opens, allowing you to update the worklog information.

Update Worklog Details

The Edit Event dialog allows you to update worklog information such as:

  • Logged time

  • Work description

  • Remaining estimate

  • Jira issue

  • Reporter (if permitted)

After saving your changes, the worklog is updated in both Calendar and Jira.


Change the Jira Issue or Reporter

You can move an existing worklog to another Jira issue or assign it to a different reporter, provided you have the required permissions.

Note

When the Jira issue or reporter is changed, the original worklog is deleted and a new worklog is created. Users without permission to delete the original worklog cannot perform this action.


Quick Edit

Quick Edit allows you to update selected fields without opening the Edit Event dialog.

Depending on your configuration, you can quickly edit:

  • Reporter

  • Assignee

  • Status

  • Priority

  • Issue Type

Simply click the corresponding field on the event block or in the Event Information dialog and select a new value.

Tip

Display these fields on the event block or Event Information dialog to make Quick Edit available.

Delete a Worklog

You can delete a worklog in either of the following ways:

  • Click Delete in the Edit Event dialog.

  • Click the Delete icon in the Event Information dialog.

After confirming the action, the worklog is removed from both Calendar and Jira.

Note

Deleting a worklog permanently removes the corresponding worklog from Jira. Ensure you have the required permissions before performing this action.

Tips

  • Double-click a worklog to open the Edit Event dialog quickly.

  • Use Ctrl + Enter to save changes without leaving the keyboard.

  • Use Quick Edit for frequently updated fields.

  • If you cannot edit or delete a worklog, verify your Jira permissions or refer to Permissions and Limitations.
