Create and Manage Planning Events
Planning Events allow you to schedule activities that are not directly linked to worklogs. They can be used for meetings, vacations, business trips, planning activities.
Planning Events are managed entirely within Calendar while still supporting rich editing, assignment, and scheduling capabilities.
This page explains how to create, edit, copy, and delete Planning Events.
Create a Custom Event
To create a Custom Event:
Click a calendar date or drag across a time slot.
Select the required Custom Event source.
Complete the required event information.
Click Save.
The new event immediately appears on the calendar.

Edit Planning Events
After a Custom Event has been created, it can be modified in several ways.
You can:
click Edit from the Event Information dialog;
double-click the event;
drag and drop the event to another date or time;
resize the event to change its duration;
use Quick Edit to update event participants.
All changes are saved immediately after confirmation.
Manage Event Participants
Event participants can be updated without opening the Edit Event dialog.
If participant avatars are displayed on the event block or Event Information dialog, click the avatar to add or remove participants using Quick Edit.
Copy Planning Events
To avoid entering the same information again, you can create a new Custom Event based on an existing one.
Calendar supports two methods:
Hold Shift while dragging the event to another date.
Select Create Event from the Event Information dialog.

Delete Planning Events
To delete a Custom Event:
click Delete in the Edit Event dialog;
or
click the Delete icon in the Event Information dialog.
Confirm the action to permanently remove the event from the calendar.

Working with Links
If the event description contains hyperlinks, they become clickable when the description is configured to appear on the event block or Event Information dialog.
