Company Calendar for Jira v 7.2 x: Editing and Deleting Jira Dates Events

There are multiple ways to edit Jira dates events, including the Edit Event dialog, Edit via Jira link and quick editing mode.

To open the Edit Event dialog, you can double-click the event block.

 

Alternatively, click the Edit icon on the event’s information dialog.

 

The Edit Event dialog allows users to edit the fields configured for the source the event is based on.

 

 

Create and Edit via Jira

Starting the app version 5.5.x, the Create Event and Edit Event dialogs provide users with an ability to edit a Jira issue via the Jira interface.

When a user selects an existing Jira issue on the Create Event dialog, the Edit via Jira link will be displayed next to the Issue field.

 

Once the Edit via Jira link is clicked, the Jira interface is opened, and a user can fill in the fields that may be non-editable via the app interface. For instance, such fields are Security Level and Epic Link.

The Edit via Jira link is also available on the Edit Event dialog.

 

In addition, you can take advantage of the quick editing mode which allows users to instantly edit a limited number of fields directly on the event block or information dialog.

Quick Editing Mode

Did you know that you can use the quick editing mode to quickly edit a number of fields in events based on Jira dates sources and custom based sources? The quick editing mode enables users to edit the fields directly on event blocks and information dialogs simply by clicking on the corresponding icons and choosing one of the available options. The fields that can be quickly edited in the events based on Jira dates sources are “Issue type”, “Status”, “Assignee” and “Reporter”. The only field that can be quickly edited in the events based on custom sources is “Event User(s)”.

 

 

 

 

Please note:
To take full advantage of the quick editing mode, make sure to configure the display of the above-mentioned fields on event blocks and information dialogs for the corresponding event sources.

Deleting Jira Dates Events

To delete a Jira dates event from a calendar, click the Delete button on the Edit Event dialog.

 

You can also delete an event by clicking the Delete icon on the event’s information dialog.
