Report templates

Starting from version 6.0.4 (cloud) and 6.1.0 (server) you can create report templates and use them across multiple calendars.

Both standard and pivot reports can be saved as templates. The templates are not tied to the calendar they are created under and can be applied to any single or multiple calendars a user has access to. Each user can define their own set of templates.

How to create standard report templates

To create a template based on a standard report, go to the Report tab and configure the fields you would like to save for quick generation of reports in the future.

 

 

For your convenience, sorting and grouping you apply to a standard report can be saved as part of a template.

 

Next, select a standard time period from the dropdown menu or change the date range manually by adjusting the Start date and End date fields.

 

If you wish to verify that the current report configuration suits your needs, you can generate a report by clicking the Generate report button. However, this step is not mandatory. You can skip it and proceed straight to saving the template by clicking the Save template button.

 

You will be redirected to the Report templates tab. Please enter a template name in the Name field.

 

Finally, click the “+” button to add the template to the list displayed below.

 

The list of templates will include the newly created template.

 

How to create pivot report templates

Creating templates of pivot reports is very similar to that of standard reports.

First, go to the Pivot report tab.

 

You can select up to three Row fields and a single Column field for a pivot report.

 

Adjust the date range or select a standard time period from the dropdown menu.

 

Click the Save template button.

 

After being automatically redirected to the Report templates tab, provide a name for the template and click the “+” button.

 

Once saved, you will see the newly created template in the list of templates below.

 

How to use templates

To apply a report template, simply go to the Report templates tab and click on one of the saved templates in the list.

 

Once a template is selected, you can switch between calendars you want to apply it to or tick multiple calendars, if necessary.

 

Finally, click the Generate report button to generate a report for the selected calendars.

Before generating a report, please make sure that all required sources and users are enabled on the left panel.

 

 

If you no longer need a template, it can be easily deleted by clicking the ‘delete’ icon in the corresponding template row.
