Creating New Events by Coping Existing Events

The ability to create a new event based on any existing event was introduced in the app version 6.1.

Now you can copy events based on Jira dates, iCalendar, custom and custom defined event types. The dates, summary, description and users are copied from the original event.

To copy an event, click the Create event icon on an event’s information dialog.

Once clicked, the Create Event dialog is displayed. The copied event’s field values are populated into the new event’s fields.

Select an event source you want the new event to be based on.

Depending on configuration of the selected source, some copied values can be cleared if they conflict with the current source configuration.

For example, you want to create a Meeting event by copying an existing Jira dates event. Should the Meetings source be configured for a project other than the one in the Jira dates event, the project name and issue key won’t be copied into the new meeting event.
